Subclasses and Exotic Armor

Warlocks are arguably one of the most important classes in this raid. Their Well of Radiance is almost required for many groups on the first encounter and final boss. Hunters and Titans pretty much pick the best setup for damage or supporting the Warlocks for more wells.

Warlock

Like already mentioned, Well of Radiance is extremely useful to allow your fireteam to safely position conveniently, like around a Witch's Vessel for easy switching. If you have more than 2 Warlocks in your fireteam, usually Lunafaction Bootsarrow-up-right are preferred. Otherwise, Phoenix Protocolarrow-up-right will help ensure you can chain well after well.

You can never go wrong with well, but sometimes you just wanna blow stuff up with a Nova Bomb. The Gahlran's Deception encounter may be a time for this depending on your team. Skull of Dire Ahamkaraarrow-up-right is a solid choice as always.

Titan

Sunbreaker top tree is still reliable for Melting Point and super damage, however it's more useful to take out key adds by yourself in most encounters. Gahlran's Deception is yet again the exception, since you can easy Melting Point the boss for the group. I prefer Thermite Grenade as it can handle one small add spawn while you shoot the other. Due to the blessing mechanic, adds are sometimes more "spaced out", so the longer duration/more hammers of bottom tree could be useful. I like to use Hallowfire Heartarrow-up-right for grenade and Melting Point spam. Peregrine Greavesarrow-up-right can also enable your shoulder charges to one-shot majors.

Ward of Dawn can actually function similarly to Well of Radiance in this raid, but it's going to require much more coordination from your fireteam. More often it will just serve as a safe zone or emergency button for yourself or blessing partner. The void debuff and wall grenades also help with packs of adds on the last two encounters. Use your preferred void-related exotic.

Hunter

I'll have to get more info, but it seems Celestial Nighthawkarrow-up-right Gunslinger and Orpheus Rigarrow-up-right Nightstalker are still the best choices for raid content. The Gahlran's Deception (more like Gahlran's Exception amirite?) encounter being friendly for a Raiden Fluxarrow-up-right Arc Staff DPS phase.

Weapons

These are the weapons you should be bringing with you to account for most strategies and situations. The most important ones being those required for DPS phases. Check with your group and the specific encounter page to see if you "need" a certain weapon.

Outbreak Perfectedarrow-up-right is all-around good DPS and add clear power, even without catalyst. Synergizes when more fireteam members use it. Recommended for first and final encounters.

The Prospectorarrow-up-right or similar Grenade Launcher can be used for DPS phases in all encounters. If you don't have it, The Mountaintoparrow-up-right, Outrageous Fortunearrow-up-right or other 150 RPM grenade launcher with the Spike Grenadesarrow-up-right perk will also work.

Due to the dangers of getting up-close and personal with adds in this raid, Trench Barrelarrow-up-right shotguns like IKELOS_SG_v1.0.1arrow-up-right and curated roll Threat Levelarrow-up-right have taken a back seat. In their place, Fusion Rifles like the curated Loaded Questionarrow-up-right from Zavala's Countdown to Zeroarrow-up-right quest. If you're not using another exotic, I've found Telestoarrow-up-right to be very effective.

Swords are also useful on one encounter, you guessed it, Galhran's Deception. Since it's for boss DPS, Relentless Strikesarrow-up-right is what you're looking for. It Stared Backarrow-up-right rolls with it and high efficiency perks, straight out of your collection. Hunter class swords are comparable.
