Prologue
The correct way to complete the encounter is noted here first as we encourage all Guardians to fight her as intended by The Architects. However, if you scroll to the bottom, you will find the best way to execute the community's most popular method of bursting her down with sheer firepower. You will find that there's a neat trick there to make it even faster than you've previously experienced.

The Community's Mechanics
TL;DR
For the Community's Mechanics (no TL;DR for the "Legit" Mechanics)
Drop down plates and all go towards the Blue Room, hug the wall until "JOINING ALLIES"
Clear communications, listen for Riven
Run to the opposite side of where you heard her from
Kills adds, wait for Riven to spawn
Damage Phase (Well + Melting Point + Empowered melee)
Teleport in and finish Jumping Puzzle (Taken Strength is the finish "line")
Damage Riven for the "Last Stand" health bar
Avoid "Metaphysical Bleed" death by running in through her open mouth and damage her heart until "Ethereal Key" drops
The Strats
An Impact Casing Rocket Launcher with Field Prep and Cluster Rockets is your best bet. You will get 1 extra rocket from this. Combine this with Rocket Launcher Reserves on your Helmet and your Class Item for a total of 9 devastating rockets.
If you are crazy enough to dump out all 9, then a Rat King is a good tool for the whole fireteam to have to finish off the last of Riven's health bar and push the encounter into the last stand.
To no-one's surprise, a Hammer Strike/Melting Point Titan can make the fight a lot easier/less clutch.
